I posted before about killing eZines. I think one of the ones I killed may be a zombie and his risen from the dead. All of a sudden it is showing rejects on Duotrope.com. On the website there is mention that most of the slush has been processed, and some stories have been passed from the slush readers to the editors for consideration.It looks like my story may have made it past the first cut – or else they lost it.

Yesterday Duotrope was reporting form rejects, but this morning a half dozen personal rejects appeared. It could be that the editors are reading the stories. I expect to get a reject notice today.

This is a good thing, because I thought the venue was dead and shipped the story out another site for consideration. If I get accepted it means that I have to embarrass myself by withdrawing the story from the other place that I sent it.

This whole submission thing is a pain. I think in the future I will just wait until I have enough stories and release a collection. I think you make more money that way, have a nice book to show for it, and there is much less stress.
