WKCR is using a service called StreamGuys.com. I looked into streaming a while ago and there are cheaper services, but reliability was an issue.
It’s 9:10 AM and I am listening to Phil Shaap discuss the chord structure of Charlie Parker’s version of “Out of Nowhere”. I find it fascinating and the music is great. Bebop is an acquired taste. At first hearing it is complex and difficult. Once your ear gets used to it, you become a fan and other music is just too ordinary.
