FreeNameAStar.com sold $114 worth of stars yesterday. I made about $30 from advertising sources. If I can consistently keep this going, I will be making about $50k a year without working. The $114 is a fluke, but this time last year I was making $20 a week on the site. Maybe in a couple of years I can retire and write that novel.

Two people quit in the last two weeks in my department here at The County of Westchester. They can’t fire me because I am nearly the last Java programmer left. I have not been blogging because I have been inheriting everyone’s projects and I have to actually work (yuck) when I get here.

Nothing of real interest has been happening. I have a camera full of pictures and have not had time to download them and resize them for the blog.

Mom has a new kitten. She had a colonoscopy, and while she was doped up on Valium, Larry stopped by the Animal Shelter with her and they got a tiny yellow kitten. The kitten’s name is October, Toby for short. I will get pictures for the cat blog.

Toby is quite happy but is in the frenetic kitten stage where he goes 90 miles an hour all the time, biting and scratching and playing with anything that wiggles. Their other cat Zack, the 12 year old cancer survivor, is miffed at having another cat in the house, especially an annoying kitten that thinks Zack’s tail is a chew toy.
